Zina Yurdanova
Zina Mihaylova Yurdanova is a Bulgarian artist, born in the 20th century. She studied painting at the Academy of Arts, under Prof. Stefan Ivanov in Sofia, and graduated from the Munich Academy of Arts. She began with portraits of famous personalities, such as Stefan Bobchev and Stoyan Venev, using watercolor, tempera and oil paints; after 1972, she also worked with acrylic. Later, she turned to landscape, still life and figurative composition. She participated in numerous joint and solo exhibitions in Bulgaria and abroad, including Paris and the Salon d'Autumn (1994). She is a recipient of the Order of Cyril and Methodius, III degree (1967) and I degree (1984). Her works are kept in the National Art Gallery, the Sofia City Gallery and city galleries in the country, as well as in private collections in Bulgaria and abroad.
