Vladimir Mansky
He was born on 23.03.1914 in Vidin. He graduated from the Academy of Arts in Sofia in 1938, majoring in painting, in the class of Dechko Uzunov. He created many urban and industrial landscapes. He worked in various formats and techniques: oil paints, watercolor, ink. He painted many compositions on everyday and construction themes. Manski is among the masters of color in the Bulgarian landscape. Since 1941, he has participated in the Bulgarian Academy of Arts, in exhibitions of Sofia artists, exhibitions abroad and organized 4 solo exhibitions in Sofia /1946, 1953, 1964, 1965/ His works from Vidin, Sofia, Sozopol are distinguished by special artistic qualities. His works are owned by the National Art Gallery, the Sofia Art Gallery, the Vidin Art Gallery, the Military History Museum, art galleries and private collections. Vladimir Manski was a three-time winner of the Sofia Prize.
