Peter Morozov
Born on September 6, 1880 in Ruse, died on January 22, 1951 in Sofia.
Participant in the Balkan War and World War I. Chairman of the Society of Independent Artists and Secretary of the House of Arts and Press (1931 – 1935).
He is known for his historical paintings "The Shadow of Samuil", "Saving the Samara Flag" and "The Flying Squad of Benkovski", "The First Kiss", with hundreds of aquatints and etchings, with landscapes of Bulgarian antiquity, everyday and ritual scenes, with portraits of Hristo Botev, Ivan Vazov, P. Slaveykov, Kiril Hristov, Tsar Boris and Tsarina Evdokia. Pioneer of Bulgarian printed graphics. Introduced color aquatint in Bulgaria.
