Nikola Manev
Nikola Manev (born in Pazardzhik – August 25, 2018, Paris) is a Bulgarian artist, painter and graphic artist, known for the mystical and fairy-tale motifs in his paintings. He graduated from the Art High School in Sofia and the French Academy of Fine Arts in Paris, where he lives and works.
During his career, he has had over 137 solo exhibitions and over 3,000 works in museums and private collections in more than 30 countries. His subjects often include "Parisian Chimneys", "Highways in the Sky" and landscapes from different parts of the world.
He donated an old house and 40 of his paintings to Chirpan, and in 2008 he became an academician of the Bulgarian Academy of Science and Art. His urn was placed in Chirpan.
