Keazim Isinov


He was born on April 16, 1940 in Sadovets, Pleven region, Bulgaria. In 1968, he graduated from the Higher Institute of Fine Arts "Nikolay Pavlovich" with a degree in Painting, in the class of Prof. Nenko Balkanski. In addition to painting, he also deals with small plastic arts, sculpture and miniatures.

His first solo exhibition was in 1971. In 1977 he received first prize at the International Exhibition in Gabrovo, and in 1981 - third prize at the painting exhibition on the occasion of 1300 years of Bulgaria.

He has had over 30 solo exhibitions in Bulgaria and over ten around the world. In 2005, he was named Artist of the Millennium after winning the Millennium Competition in the Netherlands with the theme "1001 Reasons I Love the Earth".

Holder of the Order of St. Cyril and Methodius, 1st degree, for great merits in the field of culture.

He died on February 17, 2023.
