Gencho Denchev
Gencho Denchev (b. 1932, Sofia) is a Bulgarian artist who graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in 1956, studying under renowned teachers such as Nenko Balkanski, Dechko Uzunov, and Iliya Petrov. His work ranges from realistic female figures to expressive, colorful landscapes.
He has had numerous solo exhibitions in Bulgaria and abroad (Cyprus, Syria, Kuwait, etc.) and has participated in collective exhibitions around the world – in Moscow, Basel, the USA, etc. He has been awarded prizes by the Union of Bulgarian Artists for nude and portrait.
