Dora Boneva
Dora Boneva was born on April 11, 1936 in Gabrovo. She graduated from the painting department of the Nikolay Pavlovich Art Institute in 1959 in the class of Prof. Dechko Uzunov. She works in the genres of landscape, composition, still life and portrait, and her style is defined as expressive realism. Since 1961, she has been actively involved in the artistic life in Bulgaria and abroad, with numerous solo exhibitions in Europe, Russia and the USA and participation in the Salon d’Automne in Paris. She is the recipient of prestigious awards and has been a corresponding member of the European Academy of Science, Art and Literature in Paris since 1981. Her works are in Bulgarian and international museums and private collections, including UNESCO – Paris.
